Job Summary
We are currently searching for motivated, hard working, reliable individuals to work in our Hermiston office. This is a entry to mid-level manual labor position. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate! The position is a project based position with more than likely full-time hours. Hours are subject to fluctuate throughout the year due to nature of industry. Overtime and weekend work is common throughout busy times. May work nights.
As a Technician II, you would be tasked with assisting the Lead Technician in accurate and on-time delivery of a given project. Applicants should have thorough knowledge of Fluke Networks Testing Equipment and be familiarized with TIA standards.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Label, pull, and terminate cable
- Install data equipment including data racks, patch panels, cable trays, etc.
- Test all installed cable using appropriate testing equipment
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent employer in a positive manner.
- Follow established safety practices and procedures
- Working with Lead Technician to schedule/update/complete projects
- Work ALL hours per the Customers request for project timelines
Qualifications and Skills
- The position of Installation requires the following attributes: technical capability, professionalism, self-motivation, self-discipline, focus and attention to detail and punctuality
- High School diploma or General Education Degree
- Possess a reliable vehicle and have a valid driver's license
- Must pass background check
- Experience using hand tools of the A/V and electronic related trades is a plus. This is inclusive of, but not limited to, wire strippers and crimpers for varying types of wire and cable, soldering tools/techniques, construction equipment such as scaffolding, hoists, pulleys, (concrete, brick & block) attachment devices, unistrut steel support, etc.
- Must be able to stand, kneel and crouch for long periods of time
- Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding
- Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in high places and in small cramped places
- Must be able to work in hot humid places as well as cold places
- Must be able to maintain the following attributes while under pressure from deadlines: technical capability, professionalism, self-motivation, self-discipline, focus and attention to detail
- Must be able to maintain a safety-minded approach to all activities
